How a band forms

From a first listen to a first show

  1. 01

    Step 1: A coach listens

You play or sing a few minutes at a class to try. Nobody is graded, and you can start from your first chord.

  2. 02

Step 2: We put a band together

We match players of a similar level and age, in a teen band or an adult band, around a drummer and a bass player.

  3. 03

Step 3: You pick the songs

Your coach brings songs you know, and your band chooses an order for the set.

  4. 04

Step 4: You rehearse each week

Ninety minutes a week in a room set up with amps, a drum kit and microphones, with your coach there.

  5. 05

Step 5: You play a show

Each term ends in a show in the big room, for family and friends.

  6. 06

Step 6: You move up when you are ready

Your coach and your band decide together, usually after a show.

The rooms

A warehouse that was built to be loud

Our rehearsal rooms are in a former warehouse, with high ceilings and thick walls.

Every room has amps, a drum kit and microphones set up, so you can walk in with your guitar or your sticks and play. Earplugs are available in every room.

  • Bands of up to six players

  • A coach in the room for every rehearsal
